Road safety continues to be a national priority. Following several high-profile collisions involving public transport and heavy vehicles earlier this year, including the KwaZulu-Natal minibus taxi and truck crash that claimed 11 lives, Transport Minister Barbara Creecy called for intensified enforcement and renewed focus on improving road safety across South Africa.
